O‘ahu Community Correctional Center (OCCC) has reported that work furlough inmate Jason S. Takaki did not return to Module 20 as scheduled on Friday, March 21, 2025. Takaki was on a job-seeking pass and was expected back by 2 p.m. The Honolulu Police Department and State Sheriffs have been informed of the situation.
Takaki is described as being 5 feet, 5 inches tall, weighing around 158 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair. He is currently serving time for unauthorized control of a propelled vehicle, forgery, and theft. If found guilty of second-degree escape—a Class B felony—he could face an additional sentence of up to five years in prison.
As a community custody inmate participating in the work furlough program, Takaki had been granted pass privileges. This classification represents the lowest security status within the correctional system.
Authorities are urging anyone with information regarding Takaki's location to contact them by calling 911 or reaching out to the Sheriffs at 808-586-1352.
