The Department of Land and Natural Resources (DLNR) Divisions of Forestry and Wildlife (DOFAW) and State Parks (DSP) have announced the closure of Kula State Forest Reserve, Waipoli Access Road, Kahikinui Forest Reserve – Papaʻanui Tract, and Polipoli Spring State Recreation Area from April 1 to April 30, 2025.

All permits for Polipoli Spring SRA during this period are canceled. The closures will affect roads, hunting areas, trails, facilities, and activities such as hiking, biking, camping, and hunting in these areas.

The Waipoli Access Road will specifically be closed from the Waipoli access road gate to the Skyline Trailhead gate.
