Benefit concert raises $40,000 for Hawaii's educators

The Hawaii Foundation for Educators (HFE) teamed up Wednesday with local music icons the Makaha Sons and Pure Heart for the second annual “Teach Our Future” benefit concert. The show took place at the historic Hawaii Theatre in downtown Honolulu.

Hawaii County COVID-19 cases averaged 78 per day over past week

New COVID-19 cases in Hawaii County were up 0.8% over the past two weeks, with the average number of daily cases over the past week reaching 78, according to data from the state’s Department of Health.


New 'seasonally adjusted' Hawaii employment figures released

The State of Hawaii Department of Business, Economic Development & Tourism said that the seasonally adjusted unemployment rate for June was 4.3 percent, compared to the revised rate of 4.1 percent in May on July 21st.
